A Year of Soofa Digital Signage Contributes to Downtown Las Vegas Revival
One year ago, The City of Las Vegas partnered with Soofa to build community and enhance the neighborhood experience with digital signage.
Soofa Signs were deployed along the Downtown Loop, Las Vegas’s free shuttle service, in order to deliver real-time bus arrival information at every stop. The real-time transit information displays on the bottom 25% of the Sign, while the top 75% is reserved for community and advertiser content. The Signs launched during CES 2018, and were nominated as a finalist for Engadgets Best Vision of the Future.
The partnership was part of a larger effort in the City of Las Vegas to increase livability in its urban core and transform the city’s image. City officials, led by the innovative vision of Mayor Goodman, continue to drive forward-thinking policies like creating an innovation district and interweaving smart city technologies throughout Old Downtown.
A year later, the Signs are embedded into the community of Downtown Las Vegas, and are supported by local and national advertisers who are committed to funding community assets.
In late 2018, Metro by T-Mobile became an anchor sponsor of the Soofa Sign to raise awareness of their recent rebrand and offerings to the Las Vegas population. Savyna Roufeh, Local Marketing Manager at Metro by T-Mobile, and Sam Grandel, Marketing Coordinator at Metro by T-Mobile, were excited to partner with Soofa and reach people at every stop of the Downtown Loop bus network. Local performance group Alibi shared content alongside Metro by T-Mobile creative to capture passerby and encourage them to sign up for shows at their Downtown space. Content for The Burlesque Hall of Fame was made to attract pedestrians to the museum which is located in the Arts District just a short ride away. The ecosystem of the business community was able to leverage the Soofa Sign network to reach an engaged and active audience.
We’ve seen poets, sports teams, museums, restaurants, national brands, and everyone in between take advantage of the Signs in 2018. We’re looking forward to who will join the Las Vegas Soofa Sign family In 2019.
